Tournament & FIDE Rating Preparation
Get ready for district, state and FIDE-rated tournaments — and for your first FIDE rating — with a plan built around your games.
Tournament chess is different from casual play: longer time controls, notation, clocks and the pressure of results. Our preparation programme covers the chess and the practical side — preparing openings, managing the clock, recording moves and staying calm after a loss.
We guide students on which tournaments to play, how to register with the All India Chess Federation (AICF) and how to earn a first FIDE rating. Read our step-by-step guide: how to get a FIDE rating in India.
