Chess is one of the best activities a child can take up: it builds concentration, patience and the habit of thinking before acting. Our kids' programme turns those benefits into a clear path — from learning how the pieces move to playing their first rated tournament.
Most children start between 5 and 7 years old. Younger students learn through mini-games and puzzles; older children move quickly into tactics and real games. Parents receive regular feedback on progress.

What is the right age for my child to start chess classes?
Most children are ready between 5 and 7 years — once they can sit for a short lesson and recognise simple shapes. Children older than that can start at any time; there is no upper limit.
Do you offer chess classes for kids in Chennai?
Yes. Offline kids' batches run at our academy in Nehru Nagar, Chromepet, Chennai, and live online batches are available for children anywhere.
Will my child play tournaments?
When a student is ready, we guide parents on suitable age-category, district and FIDE-rated tournaments and prepare the child for them. Tournaments are encouraged but never forced.
How do I track my child's progress?
The coach shares regular feedback on what your child has learned, their games and what to practise next.
